#6: “I’m sorry, what’s your name again?”: 2012 Etiquette Tips: Remembering Names

One of the worst feelings ever is totally forgetting someone’s name, especially right after they have been introduced to you.

So, what’s the trick? How do you keep your dignity after being introduced to someone, whose name you really wanted to remember?

The best way to remember someone’s name is to associate the first letter of their name with something already of importance to you. By doing this, you will think of that important thing when you see them and (hopefully), it will help you think of what that person’s name is.

Scarlet Says…Practice this technique with people who you already know first to get used to doing it and you’ll be on your way to being savvy at remembering names in no time.

Until next time…
